Release Notes

Right click and "Unblock" the zip file after downloading.
The zip file contains two files:
  • SmartPaster2010.AddIn
  • SmartPaster2010.dll

Copy both these files to the Visual Studio AddIns folder.
By default this is %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\AddIns
E.g. on Windows 7 C:\Users\Me\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\AddIns
For Visual Studio 11 it will be %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Visual Studio 11\AddIns
If the AddIns folder doesn't exist, just create it in the Visual Studio 2010 or Visual Studio 11 folder.

When you next start Visual Studio it should load SmartPaster.
If it doesn't, check in Tools/AddIn Manager... to see if it listed.

This version includes both C# and VB.Net support, and supports Visual Studio 11

I love SmartPaster and this version works really well with VS 2012. If your development often requires you to import large strings into your code, this is the addin that does the trick for you. Brilliant work to the people behind this. Thank you so much for contributing this.

Christmas has come early! After we upgraded from VS2008 to VS2010, I was gutted to see that I couldn't use SmartPaster, because I had got so used to using it!!! Now thanks to these developers, I can once again.... Paste As.... Awesome work guys!! Thank you!
